Transgenders say biologically they were assigned a s3x that isn’t true to who they are. Gender identity is all about who you are, male or female. Instead, they need support and resources to freely express their identity so that they are socially acceptable and not discriminated and also can live a life with complete freedom. Many become the target of hate crimes. Here are few famous transgender celebrities who have changed the world by bringing that change to themselves.

1) Bono Chaz born as female Chastity Bono to the famous celebrity singer- actress Cher. Bono underwent a physical transition from female to male. In 2010 she was granted by a California court for a gender name and change. Today he is a writer, musician, actor and also an advocate to the LGBT community.

2) Thomas Beatie, one of the famous transgender celebrities born female in Hawaii named Tracy. Beatie named in the Guinness World Records 2010 as the world’s first ‘Pregnant Man’ and has since given birth to three children through cryogenic donated sperm, as his wife Nancy was infertile. Today he is an American public speaker, author, and advocate of transgender-related issues.

3) Andreas Kreiger a transgender born as female named Heidi Kreiger was a German shot putter, who won a gold medal in the European Championships Athletics in 1986. He is now married to a former East German swimmer Ute Krausse, who was also a victim of massive doping.

4) Lucas Silveria a transgender born female named Lidia to a musical family in Canada grew up listening to Beatles.Today he is the leader of the famous Canadian Rock Band called ‘Cliks’. Lucas tied the knots with Skye who is also the band’s keyboardist. In 2010 Canada voted celebrity Lucas as the ‘Sexiest Man’.

5) Loren Cameron born female in California. She began her transition from female to male in 1989 after she was dissatisfied with the female body. Today he is a well-known American photographer,     author, and a transgender activist.

6) Caitlyn Jenner born as Bruce Jenner won a gold medal for the Decathlon title in the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He has six children from his two earlier marriages before the transition. She is the most famous one of the transgender celebrities in the world. She married celebrity Kris Kardashian and has two children from him.

7) Laverne Cox born male in Alabama also has an identical twin brother. She is the first transgender woman to be nominated for an Emmy award. She is an American actress, reality TV star, TV producer and an LGBT advocate. She is the first trans woman to have her wax figure at Madam Tussauds and also the first to be on the cover of Time magazine.

8) Caroline Cossey born male named Barry Cossey. She is known in the fashion world as ‘Tula’. She was the first transwoman to pose for the Playboy magazine and had also starred as one of the Bond girls in the movie ‘ For Your Eyes Only’.

9) Lea T. born as Leandra Medeiros Cerezo was the son of a famous Brazilian World Cup soccer player Toninho Cerezo, who played in the 1978 and 1982 FIFA World Cup. She is the first transwoman of the fashion world. She made history at the 2016 Rio Olympics when she led the Brazilian athletes.

10) Nadia Almada born as a man named Jorge Leodoro was the winner of the U.K. reality show ‘  Big Brother 5 ‘ in 2004. Nobody knew in the Big Brother house that she was a transgender. Right now she is working as a hair stylist and color specialist in London.
